“Usually what they say is, ‘When has socialism ever worked?’” she said. “I think the logical response to that is, ‘Do you call this—capitalism—working?’”

Capitalism is a philosophy based on ambition.
Obviously. Once you stop sucking off your parent’s financial teet, the idea of wanting to keep as much of your money as possible sounds a lot more reasonable.
The assembled youth were especially committed to redistributing wealth from their parents to their landlords.
Pay for it themselves. Or get their University research budget to cover it.
Think the next logical step in their peaceful, healthy debate / exchange is for those students to live in / be embedded in a classic, hardcore socialistic country for 6 months. Sans any of the Capitalistic-byproducts they’ve expressed concerns about.
What’s the old adage? When you’re in your 20's and you’re a Republican you don’t have a heart. When you’re in your 30's and you’re a Democrat you don’t have a brain.
Studies have shown that young people tend to move away from socialism once they enter the workforce.
Oh no, do these types of rules apply to commenters? Asking for a buddy.

“unsportsmanlike? oh come on its high school,”
I respectfully disagree. I was involved in organized youth basketball as a kid. My brother coached high school sports. Sportsmanship was always an important component of that experience—they taught it and they demanded that their teams respected their opponents.
It’s a foul because it’s unsportsmanlike behavior. It’s being used to mock and humiliate players from the other squad.
Dicks do tend to have fun being dicks so its not a mutually exclusive action.
Sorry, but not harsh at all.
Unsportsmanlike conduct. Taunting and showboating can certainly get you T’d since it can be inflammatory and spark altercations. Note that he didn’t call the foul until the second or third time he did it. Harsh, but within the rules.
It’s probably for taunting. Look at the other teams bench, this seems like he’s just being a dick to some completely overmatched kid from a school that barely even has a team.
The problem is that only half the population sees it as that, and it isn’t the half you think.
I heard what I presume is the dad shouting “Dance on him” loud enough for the impressive swagmaster and the humiliated kid to hear. He called a T for humiliating the defender, not because he was dancing.
