I’d say it’s cheaper to start from scratch and also avoid potential polluted ground issues. If you inherit those you’re in deep sheeeet.

Not sure you are familiar how things work in Europe.
The local government may have sold some land, doesn’t mean there is going to be a factory.
Tesla might want to just sell that land and go somewhere else.
Trying to fight environmentalists in Europe is a tough, long and expensive job. And then you often still lose.
Becaus…
What are we a civilized people, us Americans...
My AdblockPlus allows me to post. A bit finicky, but it works. Chrome.
No.
I expect ICE cars going to become very expensive, very soon. Why ?
Because if BMW for example ‘needs’ to go full EV because of gov’d in Germany or else they get fined plenty, then either that fine will be spread over the offending ICE car sales or over the ICE sales in other countries where the ICE cars can still be…
“...70-percent-capacity retention specified in Tesla’s eight-year/120,000-mile battery warranty for the Model 3 Long Range”
If you live in a city you often also drive a lot in that city. You can use a supercharger, charge as little as 50% and then you can drive hundreds of miles in a city which often is also enough.
If you go outside the city, et voila, super chargers.
http://chooseev.com/savings-calculator/
It’s easy to save from $20,000 to $30,000 on gas in 5 years.
In the example I used a Mercedes ML350 vs a Tesla model X AWD P100D.
The savings are for that comparison $25,000 USD per 5 years AT THE CURRENT gas prices. If they go up to $4/gal then the difference is $35,000.
While…
We all agree this guy should be criminally prosecuted right?
If he had hit some person/other car and someone would have been injured or even died, then this joke would not have been that funny anymore.
The captain had some beef with the ferry.
It’s a drive-by shooting in boating land.
Why does that truck need to have such a huge nose that seems to use half of the truck while adding nothing. The 3.5L engine is probably going to get lost with so much space.
Toyota is right. People will be wanting and buying hydrogen vehicles for the next couple of decades.
Oh wait.
Toyota is wrong. People will be wanting to pay less to drive a car and will eventually be pretty happy to have an always fully charged EV sitting in the driveway with minimal maintenance costs, with…
If the engine and trans (clutch) are ok then I think you’ll have a pretty decent car for just $3500 with a little kick and old-skool changing gears. The color is period-correct. The style is odd, but not that ugly like a Fiat Multipla-ugly.
If you’re in need for a 4-person car that isn’t too dull then this isn’t too…
Unless the current owner didn’t do the engine replacement, I always wonder why people fix a car for hard cash and then sell it. Perhaps an exception, an emergency, but I feel the COST of $20k for the engine and now the ASKING price of just $18k doesn’t compute.
996s had besides the IMS also has potential cylinder bore…
Koenigsegg > Porsche > Tesla > Toyota. We agree on that.
I just responded to people thinking that Koenigsegg is revolutionary while I argue that Tesla is.
Koenigsegg is a nice hand built race car for multi-millionaires that hardly ever can show it’s potential (drive near it’s max speed).
At most you can lose $1000.
Imagine you buy some E36 for $10k and find it needs another $5k to make it run and then you suddenly cannot sell it for more than $6k and you instantly lost $4k.
Ah panel gaps. Or something. The problem with the ‘Dependable Car’ is also that it is a ‘Boring Car’.
I am not allowed to mention a mere Tesla 3 in a thread about a Koenigsegg, but at the same time we have to compare the said Tesla (doing 0-60 in 3.1s) with a Camry that does 0-60 in, what, 5.1s ? That’s only 60%…
Uhm yeah there are 2 around here where I live but then again, it doesn’t matter. The argument is that Koenigsegg is a nice car, but for it’s money you don’t get that much more power than a regular $50k electric sedan.
My town has 16 million people living in it btw. The Teslas, Porsches, Lambos, Ferraris, McLarens…
Hard to compare a normal Sedan for $50k with a $135 ICE Porsche.
It also has ZERO to do with the fact what I said.
Camry’s don’t do 0-60 in 3.1s. Teslas are considered Sexy in a large part of the world while a Camry is more like a Coffin on wheels.
