Shares don’t work that way.

1. I would buy shares because I see them going up. I don’t care if Tesla sells 1, 100 or 100 million cars. I only care, as an investor, if that stock price is going up, or down

2. Tesla is growing. It could output 25 million cars in a few years. Would you have bought Apple shares at $10 when

This almost makes me cry.

Inhaling some of those fresh exhaust fumes is probably nothing to snorting a whole tire-turned-into-gas :)

I agree. I like the drifting itself, not that they can ruin a set of rear tires in 20 minutes (or less). Maybe some harder compound could fix that. Also the smoke isn’t really healthy (for the driver and spectators). It’s cool what they do though.

I think it makes more sense to have 1 or 2 backup cameras in the car that aren’t used, but can be used when the first camera ‘gets chipped’.

Those costs, per car, are measured in perhaps hundreds of dollars at most, whereas sensor beacons among every road in the whole of the US is just.not.an.option.

If we want real

People look at these cars and see all the defects but don’t see the opportunity to fix those defects to a state of NEW components (like NEW shock absorbers and a NEW (refurbished) seat.

Spending $3500 leaves you with a lot of money to spend on getting this car into a very good condition whereas when you spend $10,000

I think the only answer is that it didn’t look different enough.
As everyone is already writing ; it looks too much like a Boxster and not enough like the original 550 Spyder.

Tip ; get a Boxster Spyder (with the manual roof, err, tent) 987 and you will feel the Spyder.

If you want more luxury, then you just go for the Lexus LX, right?

Sorry, I’m not sold on 3-wheeled cars.

Well one difference with the gasoline (on fire) and LiOn batteries on fire ;

I go NOWHERE near a battery fire while a puddle of gasoline on fire can be extinguished with a large coat, water or even a very small fire extinguisher.

Not that case with a battery fire ; if that goes ; keep your distance and start dialling

But but but .. if you drive uninsured and wreck that car, either without any collateral damage or by actually hurting someone, then what? People that drive uninsured are taking a YUGE risk (really, yuge). It’s like try to outrun a cop when he catches you speeding 10 mph over the limit ; sure maybe you can outrun him

Still that doesn’t entitle you to drive reckless and uninsured or even without a license. You can walk, you can take a bike, a bus or call a taxi. If you cannot afford those means, then do not go there.

And he had the means because this particular individual bought that car.

Chinese translation:

Wow we have a convertible now!

Even nukes like to catch a little sun now and then...

Just for the record ; people in China don’t think these are good cars. Or actually a car at all. They are driven by older people, often used as a TAXI, yep to haul people. Nobody owns these things to do their groceries or so, you do that in China or on a normal bike, an electric bike or a bus. A relative large square

The 6.2 M156 is a great engine and has plenty of torque already above 2500rpm. Yet I wouldn’t mind having the extra torque earlier on thanks to a small turbo or supercharger (5.5K was great with it’s on-demand supercharger). I went specially for this old V8 because indeed the sound, the power, it’s one of the last big

Gotcha. Yet you contradict yourself a little ; at usable speeds (e.g. daily driving) turbos are great because you don’t have to rev a lot to go forward :)

I do agree that close to 10k rpm engines do sing very nicely.

Yeah I should have said twin scroll turbo.

It was a little bit of a joke :)

As a user of a 6.2L NA AMG engine ; why do people object against the 4 liter Porsche engine getting turbo’d ? For torque and power (twin) turbo is the way to go. One that spools up quickly for a good initial boost in power and a larger one that spools much later at higher revs where it can output massive power in the
