You’re very right. EVs? Good. Tesla EV? Bad, boring, <insert some weak excuse>.

(I drive an MB ML63 btw - the 6.2 NA engine).

1. Why do they need to stop the whole car ? Just send the ticket to the registered owner of the car and let him solve the problem who was driving at that time.

It works this way in MANY countries and it really quickly makes people realise not to drive (too fast) or not to lend out your vehicle to people who get you

It’s quite easy to estimate WHEN you contracted COVID depending on your condition. So it’s relatively easy to check in everyone’s calendar to see what they did in that period. Estimates are estimates and might be inaccurate but in this case it’s probably 85% correct. If there aren’t 250.000 cases from Sturgis and just

By decade, the risk of hospitalization from infection with the new coronavirus is: Zero for kids under 10; 0.1% for kids 10 to 19; 1% for people aged 20 to 29; 3.4% for people aged 30 to 39; 4.3% for people in their 40s; 8.2% for those in their 50s; 11.8% for people aged 60 to 69; 16.6% for those in their 70s; and

It’s a city delivery van. Not for even going on the highway since then the power (electricity) used is the highest (except acceleration). At highways with a full load at 60 mph it might not even do 50 miles. But it isn’t designed for that. It is designed to drive a mile. Stop. Unload. Wait for traffic lights. Drive

It’s bright daylight. Little traffic. You see an overturned truck, probably from around a mile or so. You don’t do anything.

You blame Tesla.

PS in the video I see (twice) smoke from tires doing heavy braking. The airbags might not have gone off because the roof of the truck is first very thin (cars plows through it)

How hard is it to see a pothole when you’re on a scooter 2 inches above the road doing less than 15 miles an hour?

Also ; you never jumped off something higher than 3 inches without having to visit an Ortho surgeon?

Oil prices just dropped. Right on time.

Society: Our cards are not safe. You can copy the strips easily. Help.

Banks 10 years later: Here you go, cards with a chip. Very safe.

Society: Thank you, thank you, no more fraud, no more worries.

Gas stations: Can we please wait another 10 years before having to change our already 10 year old magnetic stripe readers

Indeed. Saying that all Japanese men are sexually frustrated short dicked low-self-esteem rapist-culture under-aged schoolgirl uniform tentacle p0.rn oriented persons, then THAT is racist. And probably true as well, but that is another topic. There you go.

Imagine this ;

Allow for electric bikes and a lot of people will do that 7 miles without a problem, as long as the weather is reasonable.

Still a few buses in the morning and evening wouldn’t be a bad thing would they? They could/should operate cheaper than the gas and toll and parking fee (if any) you’d have to pay for your car and

Well, US + Canada operates 300 million cars. More than in China (250 million) or European Union (295 million) for example.

Also the amount of cars in China that have an engine with more than 4 cylinders and more than 2 liters is probably less than 10%.
EU ; similar, perhaps there are slightly more cars with more than

“So you could argue that Porsche is just being careful that its first EV doesn’t become well known for having too many problems. Porsche would rather uphold a reliable reputation than risk it pushing the Taycan’s mechanics to beat the Model S on power, range, and 0 to 60 mph times.”

I think this is a bullshit

I think there is *no problem* when people living outside cities would keep using gas engines. When they drive the impact of the exhaust fumes are still there but the fumes are mixed with tons and tons and tons of normal air, whereas in a dense city exhaust fumes do influence air quality a lot.

So in cities ; let’s try

I’m no expert, but the Teslas have a battery heater in case the battery is too cold. The heater uses around 7 kW and can then make the pack 20 degrees warmer so it can charge faster and deliver more energy. While driving the motor (in the 3) will heat the pack so during driving range should actually go up. The good

I understand your point but by saying ‘gimme a couple of bil’ you also try to make the problem sound like it’s big and unsolvable. And it isn’t.

Investing in a (single) supercharger isn’t that much and one at a time will solve the problem over time. Gas stations also have multiple hoses and adding gas per car can also

Clarkson shouldn’t have gone down to that level of climate change is real or not. It is real but eliminating ALL ICE cars in the whole world isn’t going to solve the problem by large numbers because emissions are mainly caused by the industry, heating, agriculture and transportation which ranges from planes, trains,

I’m glad to see Hyundai is becoming more and more dynamic, while the rest of the pack is trying to pump out more and more boring cars (Mitsubishi, Nissan, Toyota - besides the BMWupra). In 2013 I drove the decent Santa Fe, then later they (Hyundai) surprised us with the Stinger, the crazy 3 door Veloster and the N and
