Well, deleted emails after creating a home brew email server to get around Freedom of Information requests...you know, work as a government official without any of the legal constraints. But I guess it’s easier to defend her if you just boil it down to deleting emails.

Counterpoint to your counterpoint: Why block off city streets when someone could just run 26 miles or 40 miles, or 5ks on their own? They obviously want spectators. Unfortunately, most people don’t care.

Were they winning all of the normal marathons so had to step up the difficulty in order to be sufficiently challenged?

Rule of thumb: If a sport/activity has more participants than spectators (see all marathons and 5Ks) you know it sucks.
