Your comment is now funnier than the article.

You’re spot on, although Civil War still pisses me off to this day. They really rubbed dirt on a lot of classic, iconic characters in a way that I just couldn’t handle. I try to ignore it as much as I can.

I love both books, and it’s really cool that they represent different aspects of the Transformers universe. MTMTE might have the edge for me though, just because of the variety and space-trippy insanity of the stories. And yes, Transformers is almost always better than what’s coming from the big two!

Transformers? Oh, I love those books. Dark Cybertron was so great, in the way that it used old continuity as a springboard for the new. I’m hoping Combiner Wars turns out just as good.

I’m not playing favorites like you, fanboy. I’m not taking sides or rallying behind one corporate master over the other. Check the wiki pages for both of these events. They BOTH have an enormous amount of tie-ins, and Secret Wars has the monopoly. BOTH of these companies are trading off of nostalgia and bilking their

Convergence itself, just like Secret Wars, is a limited series. Both crossovers have piles of tie-ins. There’s no great difference between the two, and I doubt you’ll get much more of a complete, satisfying story with one mini-series over the other. These are designed to sell gobs of product, just like the original

Best foot forward, right? Your preview is supposed to encourage further sales. Countdown to Infinite Crisis did that. DC Universe 0 did that (even though I regret further purchases). Convergence 0 fails in a way that most introductory comics don’t.

It’s still a physical comic that exists, with the title of the crossover on the cover, and with the claim that it introduces the crossover. Why should I read #1 if #0 is shit?

Secret Wars is definitely more books. These are both throw-shit-at-the-wall-and-see-what-sticks crossovers. Transitions between what unfortunately is and what unfortunately will be.

Some “events” are better written than others. Start better. Have more interesting and worthwhile side-stories. Have better reasons to invade all the other monthly books. Not every event is created equal.

The problem is that you think racial sensitivity is only an American standard. That excuse doesn’t go very far in a global economy. If you want to be connected with the world, you have to respect the world. I’m not waving any flag other than equality.

Horseshit. Something racist in your neighborhood is still racist across the world.

I never said those things, but I’ll bite: This particular cultural condition does not exist in a vacuum. It is equally present in a world context. It’s 2015, and the people who have a complaint are asking others to understand their position. Japan is not disconnected from the rest of the planet. Racism towards Japan

Ignorance is indeed bliss. That’s no excuse for being stupid, but if happiness for yourself is your only goal in life, then don’t go injecting your simplicity into complex issues.

Yeah, you don’t get it.

What a fucking joke. You republican 4chan fucks have totally turned criticizing racism into a worse offense than racism itself. The world is changing and you pissy kids just can’t accept it when people get tired of the same old shit. The future is bright for people other than you.

Do that. Just don’t expect anyone to give a shit, when you’re so quick to be “over” their concerns.

Learn some compassion and stop deciding for people what they should care about. If you don’t have a stake in it, just walk away. Better to be thought of as ignorant than open your mouth and remove all doubt.

I read most of your other responses. You’re not worth engaging with. Please, continue to decide what is and is not offensive for other people, and continue to be shit on for being so arrogant and out of touch.

I stopped reading at “It shouldn’t matter if other people are offended.” That’s fine if you don’t care, but don’t tell the ones who do that it doesn’t matter.
