Mitsubishi Eclipse, maybe? The weird space ship looking one?

Nah, Putin is far worse and far more dangerous.

Two Prii. ‘Nuff said.

Depends... don’t know if you’re a watch fan, but the amount of blatant “homages” to the Rolex Submariner which are very broadly and publicly out there are immense. Homage is a very nebulous term. I also can’t find the actual press release from the company so I’d be curious to see if they are saying it’s a homage or if

This wouldn’t be patent law, it’d be copyright law. I deeply doubt anything on a 2021 EV infringes on a patent from the ‘70s or ‘80s.

I think they’d have a tough time with that... the similarities are very clear, sure, but from a legal perspective proving that they “stole” anything beyond a reasonable doubt looks like an uphill struggle to me. It isn’t like there are no other hatchbacks with broadly similar shapes, even if you include the box flares

Um, no? I’ll grant that VER is a phenomenal natural talent, but he isn’t better than HAM. Just compare their rookie seasons and the history speaks for itself. HAM’s wet weather performance history is another point I’d cite.

Disagree, I’ve seen dozens around here (metro NY) and I think they’re great looking trucks.

Especially outside in the sun. A few years back we rented a sport fisherman in Croatia to go on a few-hour cruise to Mljet from Dubrovnik and I fell asleep on the bow during the return trip. Falling asleep to, and waking up to, the beautiful sights and sounds of the Adriatic is one of my favorite memories of the trip.

“I wish more of the USA had the opportunity to travel and see how these supposedly ‘socialist’ constructs work.”

I mean fair, but in a vacuum “semi submersible tugboat” sounds more like some James Bond shit than what is in reality a glorified tow truck.

Even easier than that...

I thought this too for a second but it’s less interesting than what you’re thinking.

In Soviet Russia, bilge pumps you!

100%. This article is a great read.

No way on the Les Grossman front. That entire movie was a scathing satire, including that character. And, Tom Cruise actually had a lot to do with it.

Interesting, and thanks for taking the time to reply. I agree with your assessment given the broader perspective you shared, which seems to be missing (or incomplete at best) from Wikipedia which I admit to being my only source of information on her.

COTD

I don’t understand how she is any more important than myriad other ships during WWII. She was a troop transporter, not a destroyer involved in any legendary battles. Not being facetious, I’m genuinely curious if there’s something I’m missing here.
