For a while BMW was charging a subscription fee to allow use of CarPlay... they eventually rolled that back after taking heat for it. I wouldn’t be surprised if they start adding a gateway like that, in addition to the OEM-provided options, as a cash-grab.

The heel click gets me every time.

The level of self-ownage/arrogance that he played a pedophile in season 2 of You, like immediately before this all came out, is surreal.

I’m not mentioning it as a problem, and I know it’s easily remedied. My question was more around whether there was some peculiar legislation which required such an odd tint setup.

MT is worth it IMO. There’s a lot of good stuff on there.

I just checked and of all the white 951s on BaT, not one has a truly red interior. Plenty of burgundy though. You definitely had a rare bird there! Definitely track another one down and don’t let it go.

Caffeine and Carburetors in New Canaan. In The Before Times they ran shows 4x a year (usually April, May, September, October).

That’s a great spec. My Giulia is white (allegedly per the title, in reality Lunare White is more silver/blue) over red and it’s a great combo.

What the hell is with the front side window tint? Some kind of weird CO law that won’t allow the useable part of the glass to be tinted, but will allow a tint strip?

I love Miller Motorcars. They always bring a handful of doubletake-worthy cars from their pre-owned stock to our local cars and coffee.

As a CT resident in Fairfield County, I actually laughed out loud at that descriptor.

PCA member here... I don’t think I’ve ever seen a white over red 944, let alone a 951. Sounds like a unicorn (not to rub salt in the wound)!

I saw a MINT one of those just a few weeks ago when I was taking my 911 out for some exercise. I’d forgotten the Baja even existed, but the two cars next to each other screamed ‘80s so I had to take a picture.

Yup. Cooper was interviewed on UK Top Gear years back and he’s just like, a guy from middle America. The dichotomy is amazing to see.

I was today years old when I learned that Ford made a manual Fusion.

Very true and point well taken, I’ve experienced that personally. I have an air-cooled 911 and for a while during the height of the bubble it was “worth” more numerically (I inherited it so it’s priceless to me personally) than I could possibly justify rationally. The market corrected and now I think the valuation is

Agreed, in nearly all cases I would similarly advise against financing for any type of toy/discretionary purchase (car, watch, boat, etc.).

Nice try lol. This one’s a forever car for our family.

My air-cooled 911 has about 150k on it... you’re saying that’s a sub-$10k car?

HellRams and V8 Jeeps. All of the interesting things FCA sells, with the exception of the Giulia and Stelvio, are $80,000.
