Yeah the only non-Holocaust movie where I think that word is used is American History X, which... let’s be honest, proves your point completely.

Yeah this suit seems like just a political play, I’m struggling to see how what they did was unlawful. Texas’ grid is set up in a way that is horrid, and as far as I can tell Griddy is a symptom, not the cause.

Lol. Mine still has sugar scoops, I’ve grown to like the look so I don’t plan on doing an H4 conversion. They’re sealed-beam so any standard LED upgrade (like for Jeeps) will work but I haven’t found any that will keep the old-school look.

Yeah I was going to say, lights from this era were abject shit (can confirm, I have an old 911) but they’re still at least somewhat aimed towards the road and wouldn’t work if twisted 90 degrees.

A completely blacked-out P1 was behind me in traffic, with its wing up, leaving our local C&C a few years back when they were brand new. I’m not wild about McLaren’s design language, but damn it looks intimidating in that color scheme.

Bingo. Ours are nice to all people, but they LOVE us and are extremely interactive and affectionate to us.

Neither of those cars is the correct answer to the question... the best “compact executive sedan” or whatever we call this class is the Giulia, not a BMW.

Not my style but I suppose I can’t argue with the logic if the Euro cars are out. That being said there are should be a few European models which are within your budget and not prohibitively expensive to maintain. In order of recommendation:

But... why?

There are routinely a few dozen McLarens at my local cars and coffee, and when they park in a row I can’t tell them apart without looking for the model designation.

Very true. My mother-in-law has a beautiful 356 Convertible D and she complains about it being temperamental; she hasn’t listened to me* (or her husband**) saying that’s just because she doesn’t drive it enough.

Nice car! And I agree, my 911 is a mechanically sorted, daily drive-able 5-footer and I see no reason to change that or to strive for show-quality perfection. I love using it and it wouldn’t be as fun if I had to worry constantly about rock chips or getting it dirty.

Doubt it. That CVT will go around the 100k mile mark, if not before.

I struggle to consider a car “new” when it’s built on the same platform as the outgoing model, and has the same (or at least a substantially similar) powertrain. This is a glorified facelift.

You’re absolutely right, however on principle I’d still argue that manufacturers should be shooting for quiet competence as Honda and Toyota do rather than playing towards the lowest common denominator like Nissan and Mitsubishi have for the last decade.

This guy knows what I’m talking about.

Possibly the best racing game ever, and certainly of the PS2 generation.

Motor Trend: “The biggest problem will probably be that it continues to drive like the old one.”

I’d rather hit myself in the gentleman’s area with a hammer than ever be in one of those again.
