The depreciation curve has been pretty much the same for all the 911 models in recent years.

Every day I wonder that, and every day it increases. Multiple times a day, now that I think about it.

I’m sorry, you just called atheists “filled with hate”... what we actually are is unbelievably frustrated with how much hate, misogyny, and backwardness are endemic within the various religions, and how they feel the need to spew it these things over the place.

Depends on the car. My current 5-series is the rolling embodiment of white privilege so no cop even looks twice at it. Granted my tints are (barely) legal and I haven’t smoked the lights on this one, but I had illegal windows and smoked lights on an Audi a few cars ago and the same situation applied.

I like them. Fight me. It can be done safely with a light film and it looks great on certain car colors.

Agreed. But I love my short-hood Targa, even though it’s possibly the second-most unloved style after the 996.

I wouldn’t describe a 924S as “fast,” but the 155hp is enough to make it fun as a momentum car. I’ve never driven or even been in an a standard 924 but I’m sure that including the 944 engine is a massive improvement.

That’s called “losing home field advantage.”

Check out the 924S also. With the 944 engine they’re great performers, and the chassis is amazingly well balanced. My father’s first Porsche was an ‘87 924S and it was a blast.

He wouldn’t be eligible for those glasses with this car. Porsche folding sunglasses are for 911 owners only, and non-folding Porsche sunglasses are limited to air-cooled 911 owners only.

I drove a TLX a few months back. The interior of all current Acura models looks like a robot’s butthole. No thanks with this dual-screen shit.

I disagree, actually. I rented an Ecoboost Mustang a few years back and liked the noises it made. That said, I’ve been driving turbo European cars for years now so I’m kind of used to it. And, granted, it’s nowhere near as evocative as a V8 even if it is a “better” design in a lot of ways.

I can’t remember where I read it but I saw a report one time, backed by data, that that type of “Christian motoring” (as James May calls it) actually has a negative impact on traffic flow vs. people behaving normally.

Can confirm. At 911 money I’d never even look at a Corvette regardless of where they stick the engine and regardless of it’s performance specs. I’d go 911 all day every day and twice on Sunday.

Yeah but like, to be fair, those 4 Smart cars equate to only one parking spot... properly efficient system.

Same. The 0% interest loan, like $40-something a month, for my iPhone was great for the same reason vs. dropping the $900 or whatever it cost to pay in full. Not to mention the opportunity cost of ditching that money vs. keeping it elsewhere.

+1 Manning dumbfounded stare

It’s fun to imagine what that kind of life would be like...”

Not sure if it has quite peaked, but I think saying the rate of appreciation in the air cooled 911 market has declined is accurate. Except for the 996 which has been undervalued for years and is finally climbing. The 997 and 991 are still declining.
