“I am the foremost civil rights activist”

Kaepernick makes that money and has that time off because he has the skills that are in demand for the industry which provides it. He has a lucrative talent. Most people don’t. Your point about his income and time off just reeks of bitterness, and serves as an off topic distraction. I stopped reading there.

He didn’t burn the flag (also a constitutional right) he took a knee during the anthem to start a conversation. Also, being a football player is not the cake walk you are describing. He doesn’t get 30 weeks off. Maybe he’s not formally in season but he’s still working out and training in the off season.

Looking at it another way, he is an elite athlete that thousands of people look up to, he makes $20 million a year, and despite that he still feels like a second-class citizen because of the colour of his skin.

You have a hard time cause you’re not listening to reason and can’t get past your own sense of offense.

You are a foremost troll.

It’s overwhelming how much wrong can be contained in just one comment.

Ah yes, the old “The only valid way of demonstrating is the way I deem is valid!” argument. Cool story bro.

Lol, who describes themselves as “a foremost civil rights activist”? Are you the ghost of Martin Luther King or Wangarri Maathai? More likely the doucgebag dreadlocked white dude who talks about being in an Occupy Wall St. drum circle like he served in ‘Nam.

Yea I kinda doubt you are “foremost a civil rights activist” if you're trying to downplay the discrimination LGBT folk have dealt with in this country.

What in the world does “I am a foremost civil rights activist” mean?

“Oh, it’s our turn again? Glad you guys finally got here.” -basketball

The first thing civil rights activists don't do is compare atrocities among the oppressed.

Born in the USA should have a Guinness record for most misappropriated uses in patriotic displays. Clearly most folks never bothered to listen to the actual lyrics.
