You’re actually right — speaking as someone who is not happy with themselves.

Quite often lately I’ve been feeling down for my perpetual state of singlehood, but reading your comment and thinking back to how my mother only got shit in return for bending over backwards to make my lousy, ungrateful POS father uncomfortable snaps me out of it for a moment.
I keep thinking about an article I read a long time ago that tracked couples through life challenges. When the man got sick, divorce rates plummeted. Couples rarely separated when the man got sick. But when the woman got sick, divorces went through the roof.
I don’t understand the pushback against separate rooms either. It’s the most practical thing you can do if you’re cohabitating with someone. It’s weird that this stigma only pertains to sleeping with your partner, yet you’d be considered a weirdo if you did the inverse with anyone else, even your own child.
Admit it, you had a lot of opportunities for relationships, and you eschewed those options.
I essentially DID vote for a third Obama term....much of Clinton’s platform was to continue in the Obama path.
No you’re not. Quite honestly, this loss is partially his fault as well. Not just for his failure to do something about Russians interfering in this election, but also the candidate he supported ran on the notion of serving Obama’s third term and he fully endorsed this by calling what was then Trump’s hypothetical win…
The sociopolitical landscape was vastly different when Obama ran, not to mention his opponents in both elections were elite Republicans that didn’t appeal to lower class white voters in any way. Plus he had the benefit of the failure of the Bush era still being too fresh in people’s minds to lend their support to the…
A shame that I can’t give your comments more stars. This can’t be said loudly and often enough.
I’ve only seen Democrats pretend that misogyny had nothing to do with it.
Nah, equality is only looking at which areas men are getting fucked over in and saying “you know, women don’t deserve a pass here”. Making life more tolerable for women isn’t real equality. /s
And in nearly all instances the perpetrators are men. I’m not dismissing the fact that male sexual assault victims need to be acknowledged and heard, but this is similar to when people attempt to derail general discussions on rape and rape culture by bringing up the fact that men are victims in a “what about the men?”…
Fucking thank you for emphasizing this. Too many prior times this issue has been brought up on here, I’ve seen commenters play the role of the feminist version of the Cool Girl and insist it’s anti-feminist to be specifically opposed to women being drafted, with no regard for the fact that women in the military are not…
Make them personally like you enough to vote for you.
Ah, thank you so much for this! I was combing through my local libraries for a copy!
The actress looks an awful lot like Khloe Kardashian.
This country doesn’t deserve her. I hope all the people responsible for putting Trump in office (the people who voted for him, those that voted third-party and those that didn’t bother voting at all when they could have) suffer the worst under the Trump era. But they’ll blame Hillary anyway.
I wish Obama could go “fuck term limits, this country needs me”. The one time I want a president to ignore the constitution.
I don’t know if it’s drugs so much as the onset of dementia. His father had Alzheimer’s, so it’s sure to be passed on.
The media is as much of a joke as the Trump administration they helped elevate.
