My guess is that's exactly what they'll do; scrap the mechanical AWD setup in favor of a RWD configuration, then power the front wheels with an electric motor.

The SHO is doing poorly because the market for that car like it is limited to start with. Throw in the fact that it's been around a while and the platform, though solid, is pretty old. I can personally attest that the interior isn't bad, but it's not even on the same level as the new Fusion.

It isn't. The crz is probably better on emissions.....that's it. The fiesta st will be about as fast while carrying more people and more cargo and still return around 30+ mpg average. Also it can be had with recaro seats and still cost under 25k

Neutral: My Chevy Cruze was repaired under warranty yesterday for an oil leak around the oil pan. With that lovely thought of long term reliability, the Focus ST is pretty much on the top of my list as a replacement car. So with that said, I will be taking the average salary down a little bit.
