That's a 944S, not a turbo. 16V NA motor, only a 1 or two year special. IIRC valvetrain parts are super rare for only a mild performance bump over the 8v car.

ANY rust on a 944 should be a non-starter. The bodies were galvanized. So if it's bad enough to start rusting a galvanized car, it's REALLY bad in places you can't see.

I really liked the front engined one. Too bad that got canned.

There's a technology advance at work there. The last gen of tires had a big jump in compounding that made them both be stickier and last longer. High silica or something, it's over my head.

That's a heat cycling thing. Track use puts a TON of heat into the rubber, and those hot-cool cycles actually continue the vulcanization process, turning the rubber harder. You can get tires so hard that they'll seem to last forever tread depth wise, even though there's no grip left.

The UTQG has nothing to do with mileage. It can't. Every car is different.
