I haven’t really kept up on MMA super closely in recent years, but this is reminding me of Fedor Emelianenko—a fighter who can dominate with throws and submissions, but as soon as they figured out that they could KO someone, they began relying on sloppy striking and neglected their actual strengths.

I’m curious what versions you’ve played, because the controls are great on an (ideally fresh) N64 controller. I replayed recently on WiiU VC and the analog stick on the gamepad can’t match the sensitivity or resistance of the N64's.
