This is what makes FSAE so good, though. You get the top teams making really good technology and the bottom teams making really good engineers.
Even crappy FSAE cars are bunches and bunches of fun. They make any SCCA autocross course feel like a road course. We took ours to as many autocrosses as the school would pay for, and kept bugging until they finally, plainly said “no”. Then went to another for good measure.
It shits on itself on a regular basis in central Texas, where every road has eleventy names.
