Ah - I didn’t look. I just hit play on the embedded video to see if it’d play, and to watch for a few seconds, just to see what the race looked like.
I personally left long ago. Little on I want to watch, even on Netflix and Amazon Prime, so I mostly read books on my Kindle.
Confused - YouTube does live events now; I’ve watched several Falcon 9 launches that way. What is the issue with the linked live stream? Works fine for me when I tested it. (I am not into auto racing, so this is from a “I don’t know what’s up here” angle).
I’m not a motorsports fan so I don’t know the backstory this year or in any other year, but I don’t think it’s unjustified at all for people who were told the race would be on to complain when the race is not on and they’re showing the wrong sport.
Doing it yourself is also free and I can do it in far less time than it would take me to drive even to the closest dealer for my car rather than the better dealer that I prefer to go to.
They have their own form of data recorder but no, they aren’t the same form factor as those airliners carry.
As a side question, isn’t there a terminal located under the hood for purposes of jump starting that’s simply wired to the battery in the back? If there is, it should be marked BATTERY IN TRUNK to prevent most cases of that situation.
Someone died and that’s all you can whine about?
They do carry “black boxes”, so we’ll know at least some of the circumstances once that’s analysed.
The GPS signal is just satellite IDs and timecodes. The GPS system works basically by knowing exactly what time it was when those signals were sent and does a lot of trigonometry over and over again to see where you are and how fast you are moving and what the movement vector is.
Yes, there actually was/is to be (I’m not sure of the date) such a test, but it was localized and not expected to cause trouble at low altitudes (read: at the surface).
That’s exactly what Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are designed to do. It’s finally possible to get a lot of cars with them (admittedly, mostly CarPlay, but Android Auto can be had on some) from the factory, and for the dwindling number that have replaceable stereos, it can be added aftermarket.
I can understand that confusion given it usually is under the hood... but certainly that’d be in the manual ...?
Why not just disconnect the battery for thirty seconds, then reconnect? You might have to reprogram favourite stations but it seems a far smaller hassle than setting up a service appointment and then going to the dealer and waiting around while they do the reset.
That’s what I’d figured at first, but judging from the videos, this seems to be a basic firmware problem, not an issue with signal disruption.
Actually, I think the sentence was below the minimum required by state law. Given that, why has this sentence not been thrown out and a new proper one imposed?
That craziness is why I never looked at getting an R, when they would have been on the list otherwise. I live in the Midwest, so winters can be snowy, and we do get heavy rain; AWD is therefore a nice thing to have though not a necessity. (AWD used Escapes were a bit out of my budget, alas, so I’m getting FWD; I grew…
Some Russians managed to do it but their instructions are unreadable to me, and there’s one English speaking guy on a forum who did it who promised (years ago) to post how he did it and then never came back to the thread to do that, even though numerous people were left behind repeatedly asking. If you know of an…
2011 Escape Limited V6. Our changed (have a baby now) and our Sportwagen didn’t have enough room for our things, us, baby, baby’s things, and luggage on our last roadtrip. A small crossover is perfect for us right now and I am one of those who likes the old-school boxy look inside and out. Plus it has lots of neat…
