That would not surprise me, and it also would not surprise me if some of the founders might have had this viewpoint. Thankfully, our courts do not embrace this viewpoint (although they may be on the verge of embracing discrimination by religious folks e.g. the fag-hating cake-baker).

Oh, I totally agree. It’s really not ownership at all, it’s just a license. If you owned a copy, you could freely sell it, rent it, loan it to a friend, pass it to your heirs, etc. You can’t do any of those things with an Amazon digital video.

I think if you read the fine print, when you “buy” a streaming movie on Amazon, you are buying a license to stream the movie to your device.

We almost always buy the movie on Amazon vs. buying the physical disc. Then you can watch it on any of your devices at any time (including downloading it to watch offline, e.g. during a road trip) and you don’t have to worry about a lost or scratched disc.

I think basically anybody who isn’t Trump and didn’t vote for Trump would probably run the country better than Trump. That disqualifies about 63 million people, leaving about 260 million Americans who could do a better job running the country.

You raise an interesting point. Centuries ago (i.e. during the Renaissance), devotional art was the zenith of artistic quality (e.g. Michaelangelo’s Pieta). Today it’s the nadir of artistic quality (e.g. Thomas Kinkade, “Painter of Light”). Why has devotional art fallen so low?
