I think it’s accomplished people in general, his life is one big attempt to overcompensate for his inadequacies, from his home to his wives to his businesses.

It’s the “this job is really hard and I don’t know what I’m doing and I don’t want to do it and I don’t know how to get out of it” posture. He’s finding bluster, wealth and anger don’t help him against sharper minds who also wield power.
