I can’t believe how many women said they were abused and that’s why they knew that Depp didn’t do it. Heard didn’t look like them because she fought back. Most victims fight back in some way. It’s normal to not want to sit there and be abused.
His emails show classic abuser behavior. The narcissistic tone, the emotional blackmail, the subtle threats, the not so subtle threats. He’s despicable.
“[H]er reasoning she shared, which does read as very dismissive and privileged.”
I would agree that she doesn’t seem well versed as to the full scope of what intimacy coordinators do, however it seems clear that, regardless of what intimacy coordinators may actually bring to the table, Aniston doesn't seem to think there's anything missing from her ‘intimate scene’ process.
Couldn't let Buzzfeed be the only ones with clickbait on the topic to get eviscerated in the comments.
It’s almost like you didn’t actually read what she said. She literally pointed out that she’s been doing this for 30 years and that’s why she didn’t need one. She wasn’t talking about people who are just getting started or haven’t been around for 30 years to accumulate the power she has.
There are some people on the internet who whine every single time Aniston opens her mouth. And they have been whining about her for 20 years. See Jezebel, Celebitchy and Lainey Gossip. They spent years whining that she never talked about politics. Now they whine when she talks about anything political. You really need…
Intimacy coordinators exist to make actors more comfortable so it’s weird that they’re mad at her for feeling more comfortable without one.
Exactly.
That’s it? That’s all she said and it warranted this whole piece?
The tl;dr of my comment is that I don’t understand Aniston’s comments as so unequivocal or all-encompassing that they could be fairly read as representing that no one anywhere has ever needed an intimacy coordinator.
Really reaching for content, eh?
You gotta think Disney is happy about this. Because what should’ve been an easy decision is now forced on them. We had to replace Majors, because he is in jail. No MRAs or asshole governor to harass them about it now.
And keep in mind, every bit of this is the stuff his lawyers DIDN’T think was so bad that no one should hear it.
I tell you what, even if he didn’t abuse her (obviously “if” in enormous airquotes), even if you interpret all the facts in the most generous possible light, he’s still a giant scumbag.
Wow, these texts are *really* bad. He’s done, right? At least ‘Mel Gibson’ done, as far as that goes.
The “us” in that “I don’t think you actually protect us” is doing a ton of work. Majority of what it shouldn’t in normal discussion.
I forget, the past tense of to Kang is “Kanged” or “Kung”?
What a piece of shit, jesus.
