Given what is known about her conservancy? Her movements were not her own for some time. Jamie kept a tight leash and the drugs kept her compliant.

You said it yourself: feeling. The justice system is supposed to take decisions based on facts, not emotions, and it sounds like they did in this case.
That’s what her family should say then. It’s clear they, and you and other commenters who have posted to that effect, are having a very emotional reaction to her release and think that what she did is so bad she doesn’t deserve to ever get out.
I also remember that summer, but I couldn’t disagree more. Enough time has passed that I’m quite willing to not center this discussion on myself and listen to the experts who’s job it is to assess her readiness to rejoin society.
Spare us. No feeling lingers and people shouldn’t be in prison for 53 years for basically anything.
Sounds like Spears had really shitty security.
Spears continues to blow this nothingburger way out of proportion.
There was nothing bad about his attitude and typically security at that level IS trained and they are professionals.
Well, it’s kind of their job to react and act. He saw a hand reaching for the person he is paid to protect and he responded by knocking that hand away. She smacked herself in the face.
It doesn’t matter how mobbed she’s been, if someone came running up at her, hollering and reaching from behind, her security would also stop them (if not. she needs better security). She’s embarrassed because being famous didn’t make her any better at this and she got bonked in the face. Sucks, but again, don’t go…
Which is exactly the fucking problem.
No, she didn’t deserve to get hit in the face nor the attacks from toxic sports bros. But the video wasn’t the “gotcha” that people are playing it up to be. The bodyguard didn’t even turn around. Looked like he just saw in his peripheral vision that another short blonde tried to touch Wemb...ma from behind and he,…
Ding, ding, ding... we have a winning response!
4th scenario. she’s found unresponsive, she’s known to use drugs, they administer it just because “maybe” and then move on to figuring out what was actually the problem.
I see your point, but Letterman, Conan, Myers, and others would have definitely followed up with at least one question. Ostensibly these people are interviewers in addition to vacuous entertainers. You have to admit that Fallon’s response was so canned and empty-headed that one wonders why he is even fucking there.
Or did didn’t do anything for her and they then did other things which did. But only the Narcan got reported.
Stay tuned for AV’s finger-wagging follow-up, “stop speculating about madonna, respect her privacy”
Maybe medical responders finding an unconscious rock star said “Hey, maybe we should administer Narcan, just in case.” That doesn’t seem like a huge leap in logic.
I was going to say the same thing. Fallon’s ‘job’ seems to be... failing upward?
Fallon, instead of doing his job and asking a follow-up question (even a “HUH?” would have worked), laughed and called her ridiculous.
