What in the fuck are you talking about?  The episodes that make this show great involve living humans, not ice zombies.  This was a cool episode, but in no way shape or form was the boring-ass Night King vs remaining humans going to be the end.

White Walkers were created when the Children of the Forest shoved a piece of dragon glass/obsidian into the heart of a man, creating the Night King.  Since then he has created his own WWs and raised thousands of dead.

The real concern is whether the Night King has any dominion over Jon Snow and Beric Dondarrion. They were both dead-dead, and if the Faceless Men are right and there is only one god, the God Of Death, isn’t he responsible for all of the wight resurrections and Jon and Beric?

Maybe some context would help you here. It was a long shot from a guy who had been hitting long shots all series long. Was it the best option? Probably not. Was it a bad shot? Not when you consider the player involved.
