Actually, more dem senators voted for it than against, including the dem senators then in the senate who ran for president in 2004 and 2008, and all dem senators from the tri-state area, the populations of which were most affected by 9/11.

I love how Hillary, who apologized for her vote and wasn’t in the Bush administration to oversee how the post-invasion phase was carried out, is responsible for there not being enough gynecologist at the VA.

Just admit she put out a good plan that you hope works out because female veterans deserve it. Jesus! Is that so hard?

False. He voted for the PLCAA, which protects gun manufacturers and pretty much everyone in the supply chain from the onerous burden on lawsuits from silly gun victims. I like Bernie, but like Hillary on other issues, he took a bad position for political reasons. It’s fine, he’s a politician, makes sense, especially

Topic at hand is healthcare for female veterans, not the false claim the Hillary is a super hawk. Which Secy of State laid the ground work for Iran deal, rather than war that you seem to assume she wanted because you feel the need to distort her record? Hillary.

“Technically false.” Lol. Some great principles there. He voted with the gun lobby. For political reasons. For his white, rural state.

“I don’t like her, so it rings hollow.”

Bernie Sanders votes for immunity for the gun industry. Check in with me on the candidate with principles when that stops being true.

My sister, whom I only see at family holidays is that way. During rare moments when we are alone over the holidays her authentic self will flash through and she’ll say something raw and funny and insightful. The rest of the time it’s like she’s performing.

Please retreat to your glass house, shrivel up and die.

I don't think this person is trying to help Hillary.

What he needs not to have done is vote against the Brady Bill or vote for Immunity for the gun industry. That’s indefensible and totally fucked up.

In one of those meant-to-be-watched TV twists of fate I inexplicably found myself watching this on live tv.

I don’t think voting with the gun lobby is in the best interests of anybody.

Ok. Sanders, his team and his supporters need to think about the context a lot more, because we’re talking about a country where the annual death rate due to firearm related injuries was more than 18.5 per 100,000 among blacks, but only 9 per 100,000 among whites. And Vermont is 95.3% whit and 1% black. That is fact

I don’t think he thought he was talking about a racial divide, but he was talking about one out of ignorance. Gun violence disproportionately affects blacks, who are killed at twice the rate of whites, per a 2014 CDC study. He should know this, and his team should be preparing him to speak more eloquently on these

I think I wouldn’t have justified supporting the gun lobby at all and wouldn’t have had to say anything about it.

Right I completely agree. Before I sound like a Bernie hater, I do like him and think he's a good guy trying to do the right thing. Kind of disappointing his team isn't prepping him better.

Yeah I’ve been there many times. Sure is rural. I don’t get why that excuses him from the coded language. He basically was saying, “I live in a state of responsible white gun owners, not criminals” and asserting that explains why he supported immunity for gun manufacturers.

She's getting out ahead before the Sanders campaign makes a similar move. That's my theory.
