Toy Soldiers in the Jedi Academy. Or, better yet, Doubt

"Ensign Dowd got his tongue caught in the Imperial Body Waste Shute again, Captain. How shall he be punished this time?"

Or at least just the stuff that wouldn't interfere with the canon. There are plenty of nooks and crannies in that galaxy

Jabba the Hutt's estranged children move in. In the style of At Close Range

Gender swapped My Best Friend's Wedding from Obi Wan's perspective

Yes, yes. Getting laid in Mexico, right?

They should just open up some properties to the public. My version of the above movie would be after a particularly bad fight between the two. Two and half hours of stony silence.

Right! It was animated. One unicorn left in the world or something..

It's the Star Wars story I'd least like to see. Even less than an Uncle Owen/Aunt Beru movie done in the style of My Dinner with Andre

That's the one with Tim Curry as the Devil, right?

His best friends as a child turn out to be Little Admiral Akbar, Baby Walrusface, and Wee Oola. Their nanny, Momma Mothma only appears from the knees down.

Sometimes I get the feeling that lists like this are more about generating outrage and comments than actually being a sincere opinion. But, no, of course that can't be true. Thanks for sharing AVClub!

Whenever I feel down I think of Uncle Caveman

The Deep Thoughts by Jack Handey book still makes me giggle like an idot

Boomers, man. The generation that explored musical genres with the most creativity and diversity, and in the end they settle on 12-bar fucking blues. It's as if the surrealist movement ended with everyone deciding their true passion was for coloring books.

That's where the rest of the GOP is miscalculating. They think "GOP Actually Passes Thing They Said They Would Pass" will somehow be more interesting to the media than whatever thing Trump does that day to humiliate the country

Fake news! The Coors Light was in cans!

Followed by a raging kegger on the White House lawn

But, to be serious, I'd say the "win" is the biggest driving factor. The news cycle has been dominated by how their agenda is stalled, and how even with control of all branches of government, they can't pass anything. I'm sure they see it as a "for the good of the party" deal.

It can be more than one thing, less than three?
