The problem is 99% of misanthrophic, angry antisocial assholes never do anything like this. You can’t just throw people in jail for being assholes who “seem like the type” and the gun laws in this country aren’t strong enough to not sell guns to people who “seem like the type”. There have to be concrete reasons like a

Yeah, just like the homeless guy on my street who screams racial profanities at people in between talking to himself. He’s not schizophrenic, he’s just a dick! So simplez.

Err, yeah, his point was about the white part. Obviously most are male. Your statistics prove that there is no racial proclivity towards these crimes. They are committed at rates roughly proportionate to the racial make up of the country. So yelling “white males!” is just an excuse to demonize whites which is

lonely male in his 20s yes. White, no. The reason that you think that is because the country is majority white. Like with serial killers, these mass shootings are committed equally across all races.

It’s not about finding excuses or assigning blame. It’s about trying to understand why this keeps happening and it’s almost always a certain demographic (young male, teens to early 20s). This isn’t an isolated incident. It is a huge trend and we need to find out what they have in common and what is causing this trend.

Wow you are really out to lunch! Fascinating. What other crazy things do you think? I’m bored.

Lol so lately it seems like the narrative goes:

Does that mean you don’t actually have to sign up and make a Peeple account before you can be reviewed? People can just enter your facebook details and phone number and review you without you agreeing?

Yeah, I assume they would claim something like “If a review’s content doesn’t match it’s star rating, report it and it will be removed” but I wouldn’t be overly confidant that this would be done in a timely or consistent manner. Their moderators would quickly become overwhelmed.

And if you empower the reviewee to control what reviews are allowed to be visible on their profile, it totally defeats the purpose, hence why yelp would never allow a restaurant to just delete all their negative reviews. Except the difference is Yelp reviews businesses and not people, and even still there are TONS of

Also the whole negative review system puts the reviewee totally at the mercy of the reviewer. It’s less “let’s work this out like civilized adults and turn a negative into a positive” and more “Ok, you have my balls in a vice now. What do I have to do to make you remove this bad rating?”

Oh, you totally just mentioned another thing I hadn’t thought of. Since people will be reading the actual reviews more than relying on the star rating, a harrasser can just leave everybody 5 star reviews while writing bad shit about them and totally get around their bullshit 48 hour negative review policy which is

It’s even worse than that really. Using that system I can post a very negative review of you (ie: you are psychopath, a child molestor, a shoplifter whatever), then when you contact me to “turn a negative into a positive”, I just tell you to pay me x amount of dollars. If you don’t pay me, I wait the 48 hours and let

She probably just didn’t put that shit in rice. Everybody knows you put that shit in rice.
