Yeah... like almost always stars are contractually obligated to take part in press tours (I imagine a few giant people like deniro or pacino can say... no, I won’t do that but I will be in your movie). Even if you are taking part of your salary as percentage of box office take (which motivates you to want to sell the…
Yes, however depending on where you live 200K puts you no where near the 10% (and much closer to the middle 50%... toward the bottom of it). Just had to put in a shout out to my fellow high-cost of living area people. We are well into that 200,000 measure and can’t make that full contribution (and we aren’t spending…
This is very similar to what my mother in law does. Substituting daughter-in-law (as she has no actual daughters)
Same. The Dollop is amazing. Its one of those that if we are in a car on a long trip and I laugh out loud my husband wants to know what was funny and then I offer the general idea, but without knowing/experiencing the dynamic, it’s just useless to explain.
My favorite mashed potato tip (which I’m sure was from some sciency based recipe place) was using the potato cooking water in addition to butter (and milk if desired, but I don’t use it). And as a bonus you can make your mashed vegan without adding any extra flavors via alternate “milks”
Yes. This is the twice exceptional scenario. In the case of my son, your learning disability is bad enough that you never get any recognition for being gifted in any way, and you struggle along just enough that no one identifies that you have something holding you back. For him, it left him constantly miserable and…
“I lived in shithole conditions and did nothing about it so you should too”
Well you don’t see a lot of Miss. More commonly you see Ms. Especially nice because why should me being a woman tell you more about my marital status than a man. Even better is maintaining my last name, my husband gets called Dr. Hisname. And I don’t even get Dr. Hisname (I’m a Dr. too... a bug doctor). I get Mrs. Hisn…
thanks for that info!
Exactly. I did a ton of reading on this.
I posted this somewhere else, in the greys... but it addresses your question. The legislature (like others) have been passing laws to make it easier and easier to chip away at the rights of women to have control of their bodies. Two laws are pertinent here.
So I just read a ton about all of this. And it seems to me if you were hit by a car while jaywalking, and had a miscarriage at 12 weeks (or 6 weeks, or a fertilized egg didn’t implant) you could be charged with this same crime.
So... the drunk driver question is kind of a fascinating one. I don’t know OK laws, but it is generally not easy to receive jail time for killing people with cars, even if you are doing something illegal at the time.
Thanks so much! That was thorough and helpful. I’ll check out your links and keep an eye on them. I am pretty handy (HA! sort of ironic) and like problem solving by modifying existing things to perform slightly different tasks (I guess some people call these hacks but I think that sounds too hacky.)
The fun thing about steroids when you don’t take them chronically, but for a flare up, the first couple of days you do feel like you can conquer the world. Once on the second day of a steroid course, I redid the floor of my laundry room (moving everything) with laminate tiles, in a few hours. My husband was like..…
We live in a halloween enthusiastic town that has several annual aspects to the celebration. There is a house decorating contest that benefits the library, and the PTG runs a halloween festival with games, dancing, etc. that has historically raised an average of 10K (for a district with a k-6 population of <600.)
I’m basically of the same mind, but I do like the really big kids (juniors and seniors) to at least TRY to offer the impression that they are in a costume or be willing to not be surly. I usually give/offer 2ish pieces (and if there isn’t a crowd let kids pick if they want). But if you are taller than me and grouchy…
Yeah... I have a problem (as a white person) when people talk about ethnic studies or CRT or similar programs, and object to it because it is too subjective and not based on facts.
They can’t. When this gets thrown out by courts, the legislature will write a bill that says that private citizens can sue doctors giving vaccines to people... or more properly sue companies that put in place mandates that comply with federal OSHA requirements.
