You’d be surprised how many mets fans sit in those fancy seats at Phillies games...

I had the same question. I grew up on a dead end street, not the boondocks, but our street sort of was (no city water or sewer until a few years ago, wells and septic systems). The street was pretty darn wide. They kept putting off getting water and sewer put down our end of the street (the no-outlet part of the dead

Yeah, I mean I have no idea about most of my white immigrants are except my grandfather who was SUPER proud of being Swedish (and NOT NORWEGIAN), and he admittedly spoke some Swedish and lived there as a child. So the only whiteness I feel I can confidently tick off is nordic.

This. I live in a small town in one of the most populous and diverse states in the country, but this town is really white (as am I). We love the town, and generally speaking most of the people who live here that are the parents of other kids in the schools probably are very similar to us in viewpoint. However, I don’t

I love how you call them your “baby legs”. I wasn’t great when she was an actual infant, however. We are pretty laid back parents, so it wasn’t until she was older that I was reading about hypotonia and I realized the stuff that seem like just peculiar quirks of her were actually hypotonia. She was over 1 before you

I did what I thought was alton browns method. Use a table spoon, scoop out table spoons, freeze them hard into separate balls and then throw them into a plastic bag. then you can also combine any extras from future cans

Oh and I want to just give the general reminder that if you are given something free, food, drink appetizer, you should tip your server AT LEAST as if the free item were on the bill. I say at least because if you were comped something because of some mistake, at least seems reasonable. The comp was supposed to make it

It can also be caused by hypotonia. If not addressed early enough. My daughter is hypotonic (I love that they call it benign congenital hypotonia... basically just like.. we don’t know why, it won’t get worse and its been there from birth).

I agree at first I thought someone had captured a secret shot of what Boris’s hair really looks like before he fucks it up every morning.

I come from an area of this country that eats something most people eat as mid-afternoon evening snack for breakfast. (soft pretzels are the bagels of the Delaware valley) .

Which Roosevelt. I’m guessing the rough rider.

I agree with this largely, as far as popular usage is concerned. Certain grammar rules have been dropped because using them makes meaning less clear (e.g., you can end a sentence with a preposition now, passive voice is generally discouraged in scientific literature now.) So I doubt strunk and white would even argue

Easier if you do it the way I explain stuff to my kid.

This whole thread turned out reminding me of how many stupid times I have cried at the end of a queer eye (and my husband says I have a solid chunk of ice for a heart outside of loving our kids and him). I just watch it alone so no one knows I’m soft.

This reminds me of being in 7th grade and learning about another slur (one much more common I now know) because I asked a friend what another person (an adult relative of hers) what he was talking about.

This is definitely true. The more familiar you are with the testing and regulations that apply to crops (and I’m only super familiar with those that apply to fresh market fruits and vegetables which are slightly different than field crops), the more you realize that there is a lot of science about how pesticides are

I’m not a 34F/G any more but I was for several years. I spent most of my life before my 30's as a 34B. I was 30 y/o and pleasant 34C. Then had two babies 4.5 years apart and nursed both of them for about 1.5 years. I somehow ended up weighing the same at 36 as at 30 but with breast that I felt like they couldn’t

I met Ukee Washington last year and he is both very tall and quite nice.

It totally is.  I was in grade school and remember watching the thing unfold on TV. and that doc is amazing.

I find this too. There are certain albums I can’t not sing with, so those don’t work, but I do find the same thing, which I have rarely heard from other people. If I know an album really well it doesn’t distract me, but if I don’t know it, even if it’s just music (so long as there are distinguishable notes to hear)
