Same. Bras are a nightmare for me. I’ve pretty much given up on anything but sports type bras. I think the secret with the old bras is the secret to all old clothes. They were made specifically for each person. Everybody needs a good seamstress (or tailor, I guess) on hand.

Real questions in regards to those ‘foundation’ garments. How the crap does one pee in a slip that tight? I’m going to just assume there’s no stretch to it. Do you have to remove your entire outfit so you can shimmy out of your sausage casing? No wonder women have a reputation for taking so long in the bathroom.

I don’t think it’s controversial that Lorelai’s a bad person. I think everyone agrees with that. For reals. She sucks.

Also, if you don’t know what it is there isn’t some instinctual thing in your mind that says ‘oh, this is dead flesh, better get that checked out.’

Came here to add this. Almost all of the serious athletes I knew back in the day wouldn’t go on bc because they already missed about half their cycles. It was awesome.

The gold medal in Women’s Individual Sabre this year is a lefty from Russia. She also has a habit of wearing earrings while she competes which freaks me out but ‘shrugs’ I guess she is just more fabulous than I.

Cruel, yes, but not unusual. There are all sorts of stories in which women are denied basic menstrual accouterments. But I think you will find that this is not technically considered punishment. It’s shitty administration and inattention towards those in your charge.

The thing about Cruel and Unusual punishment (I’m not saying this is the way it should be, just the way it is) is that it has to be both. Punishment can be cruel OR unusual. Just not both. So if it is common for women to be denied showers, it is not unusual. And therefore acceptable in the eyes of the law.

A good alternative is cocoa powder. For real. Works in a very similar fashion but doesn’t cake onto the follicles. The only problem is you can’t really use it with light blonde hair and sometimes your part gets a little dyed for a day, but it’s not that noticeable. So yeah, cheap alternative that doesn’t make you go…
