That’s a really baffling thing. All these people who think electric cars are the wokest and thus worst thing on the road also inexplicably love the guy peddling by far the most electric cars.

Showing any political preference is completely stupid if you’re trying to sell a consumer product. There was a time I would’ve bought a Tesla, but now it feels like a car version of the red MAGA hat.

Being a White Nationalist isn’t good for sales. Nor is being a Confidence Man. Nor is Abusing your Workers of Color. Nor is over charging for service of your product. F#ck Tesla & Musk with one of his flame throwers, or simply deport Mr. Musk back to South Africa...

What happens when a high end product is sold and serviced in low end dealerships.

My condolences to the owner for having to wait another two years before they can have a replacement to immediately flip.

Did you expect the oil and gas industries to just shrug when their business model is threatened?  These guys have over a century of dominance in transportation and are NOT going to just give up.    This is just getting started.

Forgot about Jan 6th, did you?

If you’re all about fairness and sustainability, I guess you would then support a carbon tax to pay for the environmental damages done by burning fossil fuels right?

His company pays less taxes and his workers in Texas have fewer protections so he got what he wanted.

He and his weak ego get owned constantly.

Call them bigots and traitors. Because they are.

From the article:

Hey, this is Meridian, Mississippi. I live right across the state line from it. The teachers are just as crazy as the police.

We need to rename the word “ Conservative” because its more like “ Asshole”. Because literally anything and everything that comes out of conservatives, conservatives leader and conservative states are all mean, nasty, intentionally ugly and 100% based on revenge. Fuck them.

So all the bootlicking Elon Musk did, didn’t do him a darn bit of good.

Overweight EV” ruining roads is a ridiculous trope perpetuated right wing nutters.

It’s 100% culture war, and being that Toyota has such a stakehold in Texas, I am shocked this is even flying. Outside of the BZ4x which isn’t doing well, there are still many plug-in options and I’d be surprised if there wasn’t even the smallest amount of resistance from the folks in Plano over this.

On one hand, you have a point, and that taxes will need to be re-evaluated at some point regarding EVs. On the other, this all reeks of culture war bullshit.

.....the damage to the roads is done by overweight trucks.  TX going to increase fines for that?  Going to guess not.
