What a joke of an article.
What a joke of an article.
This reminds me of the time when I was driving I-70 during a snowstorm and 2 pickup trucks went roaring past me... and within 2 or three miles I saw both of them spinning separately off the highway in (thankfully) single vehicle accidents. I laughed and laughed.
Well, let’s investigate, since Elizabeth clearly couldn’t be bothered:
Exactly. This article would make sense if names like Norris, Russell, Hamilton, and Verstappen were moving to Indy, but c’mon, the drivers listed in the article aren’t fleeing F1 because they want to, they’re fleeing because they aren’t good enough to get a seat.
Yet another Jalopnik article written by someone clueless about Formula 1. Indy Car gets F-1 drivers who retire from F-1 or who lose seats in F-1 because the team lost confidence in the driver and wants to try a different driver. There are multiple competitive open wheel series running in Europe for the express purpose…
You folks are on another planet sometimes.
Yeah, if the “talent” = Magnussen, Grosjean and Ilott, F1 will be just a-ok. Shame Rossi never got a real shot, though.
Bad take is bad...
I agree with this.
F1 is not scrambling for talent. I don’t see Tsunoda, Schumacher, or Russell bailing for IndyCar. The problem is the exact opposite, and I hope the budget cap allows more teams to enter so young drivers who may not be the cream of the crop (but still show lots of promise) can move up.
You have it exactly backwards. Illot is going to Indycar because he isn’t considered one of F1's best upcoming talents. Three years ago, there was a lot of hype around him, but three years is a long time ago. The depth of talent in European single seat feeder series is so ridiculous at the moment that, unless you…
I’m pretty sure there are no potential staffing shortages in the F1 driver ranks. Most of the Indycar guys would drop it in a hot minute if they had a shot at F1.
What an uninformed article. Do you even watch F1 and keep up to date with the driver market?
“ leaving F1 scrambling to find adequate young talent to fill its seats.”
In a red state here, but still, even the leftists and liberals have guns. Some of us have numerous guns. Some of us like to eat red meat. Some of us like to do survivalist stuff. Difference is, we do it because we like it, not because we feel we’re trying to fill some expectation.
Same here in MA/CT.
the right/far-right talk about how weak liberals are I can’t help but roll my eyes. They’ve been told repeatedly by FoxNews, OANN, and others that all liberals are snowflakes and want to take your guns away.
We’ve all heard people on the extreme right wing refer to the “coastal elite” like everyone on the coasts are weaklings ready to be rolled over, but anyone who has spent time in those cities knows it takes a special kind of grit to make it in those towns.
