The tv series “Manhattan”, which I believe is still on FreeVee or one of the free apps on Amazon, is a great retelling of this story. It’s somewhat fictionalized as far as the characters, but it does a pretty good job making you feel the dread of how the Atomic Bomb was going to affect all of us down the road.
