My coworker is notorious for leaving early. He tells everyone he is going to do an “offsite inspection” many afternoons. The funny thing is, he watches everyone else come and go like a hawk and is always the first to comment if a colleague arrives late/leaves early.

My office hours are 8:30-4:30. My CFO rarely rolls in before noon and often dumps urgent work on our desks late in the afternoon after we have already mentally checked out. I try and schedule meetings with him at 9 a.m. and he always tells me he is unavailable ;-)
