When the mercury dips below freezing I usually go for a run in a t-shirt and shorts because I sweat like crazy after 2 miles or so.

I’m a fan of one of the Caps’ divisional rivals but I always found Ovie a joy to watch on the ice. He still looks like he enjoys the game immensely. I’m sure scoring loads of goals helps.
I think I am the only person in the universe who found “San Junipero” slow-moving, confusing and rather cloying. I guess I’ll watch it again.
I watched Arkangel last night. 15 year-old Sara looked like a young woman in her early 20s.
Liberal Arts major here. My math and financial skills are so lousy I’ll never earn enough money to afford a new car. At least I’ll be able to write a reasonably-constructed and snarky comment on Kinja, so I have that going for me.
I’d like to see more episodic television in 2018. Sometimes I just want to turn on the tube and have everything resolved in 30 or 60 minutes rather than having to watch 5 seasons of backstory to understand what is going on.
I’ve been to two Ikea stores and they still use traditional, individual checkout lines.
The former Mayor of my small town once told me that “no matter what you do, 20% of the public is going to hate you” and he stopped wasting time trying to win them over. He focused his energies elsewhere and was able to accomplish more.
I’m a Lyft driver who uses Waze. Waze will often send my on a byzantine trip though quiet residential streets to potentially shave 30 seconds from my ride. That or send me in a complete circle sometimes. I don’t know what it does that.
Oops I forgot to add that the oil change place didn’t fill the reservoir with coolant either. Ran that dry as well.
Visited a nearby $19.99 oil change place. Approximately 6 weeks later, I my car’s hi temp warning light came on and the temperature gauge shot into the red.
Downtown empties out after 5 pm and becomes a soulless landscape of glass towers. I visited Shapiro’s with a sizable group of garrulous East Coast Jewish guys and they gave it thumbs up for its authenticity.
As I approach age 50, I am currently shopping for empty cardboard boxes as my retirement home.
I work in a wealthy suburb and I do my part by refusing to hold the door for any locals, allow their luxury SUVs to merge into traffic or use niceties like “please” and “thank you.” It’s the least that a little guy like me can do.
In Rey, he sees not just a new generation, acting out the same old mistakes and playing “Who’s got the Jedi?” with Luke Skywalker—who (and this is meant with no disrespect to Mark Hamill’s wonderful performance as the grizzled, broken-down old hermit) has somehow become the “Whenever Poochie’s not onscreen, all the…
Yeah, I was rooting for Holdo to survive and have the two of them become the Resistance’s new power couple. I loved her flawed, badass character.
This is a fantastic analysis of TLJ. Well done!
I sit at a desk all day at work so I actually encourage fidgeting because I want to burn calories while working - er - posting on Kinja.
Yeah, that may be the law, but in reality, Amtrak trains are often held up for hours by freight trains. Freight railroads were in such a hurry to dismantle underutilized tracks in the 1970s-90s that when the railroad business picked up after passage of the Staggers Act, many railroads had too much business and not…
We’ll have to wait for more news reports to roll in. Ugh this sucks. I love riding the train.
