I'm always looking for more opportunities to buy Tesla stock, however this probably won't result in one of them.

I'll perpetuate the stereotype just because you're so fucking emotional.... Yaris LOL

Your name obviously speaks volumes about your character. The point of the comment was to find out what makes 07 so much better than 08, because lo and behold, I happened to have a car made in 08. I'm willing to bet you wouldn't have cared if it happened to be a car other than a BMW.

So what was the big change from 07 to 08 that made you draw the line there? I have a 08 135i that I think is spectacular, but also realize that the turbo's are a ticking timebomb. However, that same engine was available in 07 in a 3er, therefore the engine should be ok by default...

In owning the car for 13 years, I have never seen a way to defeat it. Maybe the newer ones have it, but I'm 99.999% sure the 01's do not have a switch to defeat. Of course there's a relay, but I'm guessing they're on the same circuit.

So I checked on Indiana's law, and it appears to be 'ok' if they're in a booster seat, but there isn't any mention about defeating the airbags. CA mentions that the front passenger airbag must be defeated if there's a rear-facing child seat in the front, but mentions nothing about defeating airbags when a booster

This just reminds me how depressing it is that I won't be able to (legally) take my daughter for a ride in my S2000 until she's something like 8-10 years old. And she's almost 11 months now :(

Pretty much all jobs come with certain caveats, and I would say the biggest caveat for me in regards to nuclear eng. would not necessarily being able to live wherever I want and be a nuclear engineer.

This truly is awesome. It kind of makes me regret not going for nuclear engineering in college. Thanks for sharing!

It's a long shot, but what section???

So... who should they thank for giving them all of their monies?

I think it works for more than just that, but regardless the point is moot, because he (Battery Tender Unnecessary) already participated in the conversation.

Handbrakes are quickly going the way of the dodo bird. Even the 2016 Civic won't have a handbrake lever.

They have that new feature for inviting people to conversations... let's see if it works!

That is a pretty lame / sad attempt at trying to explain why a lease is a bad idea. I know there are certainly way better arguments for, or against, out there. I've never heard of this Dave Ramsey guy, and I'm probably dumber now because of it.

I've never even seen the movie, and as soon as I saw movie car in the title of the article,I assumed it was from that movie. With what little I know about the movie, and based on everyone else's comments, I'd have to say it performed it's role perfectly, and therefore was not terrible.

I love questions like this!

While I agree with your statement in general, in the context of this situation it is in complete bad taste.

I think Elon is completely full of shit. I don't like how he operates outside standard business norms. I think he is unethical and shady as all fuck. I dislike how so many Jalops uncritically cheerlead for Musk and Tesla.

Even with these tests being announced years in advance, designs and budgets are set years in advance also. I guess what I'm trying to say is, manufacturers will always be able to pass these tests at a good level, if they WANT to. It has to fit into their product lifecycles correctly and make sense financially.
