Especially after Leonard rolled his ankle landing on his own teammate’s foot a few minutes before. Then again, David Lee *is* a former Warrior, so I guess it’s only fair to blame it on them that way...

Well, it literally just happened in this particular game (twice, LMA did it minutes prior), and nothing happened. But keep engaging in your hypotheticals.

It’s a stupid, stupid, stupid .... stupid take. “The Code” led directly to Bertuzzi almost crippling Moore, for fuck’s sake.

It’s an article marred with all sorts of dumbness. I especially like the assertions that 13 year vet Zaza Pachulia, who’s having maybe the best season of his career, is just some dumb oaf who’s just there to foul and thugerate people.

Yeah, it’s only dirty when a guy lands on your foot and gets injured. It’s not dirty when Lamarcus Aldridge does the exact same thing and Steph chooses to land on his ass instead of risk landing foot on foot, or any of the 17 other instances when a defender did the same thing yesterday.

While I don’t think Zaza intentionally injured Kawhi, you’re getting the argument wrong. I think even Warriors fans would like to see Leonard playing. Fact is though, Pop doesn’t seem to think it’s an issue when his own guys do it. Case in point LMA doing it to Curry minutes after, which wasn’t called a foul because

So the Warriors are now not allowed to be in the personal space of players of other teams or else it’s dirty play. Got it. Maybe next people will just call “defending” a dirty play when the Warriors do it.

Why isn’t David Lee getting interviewed for his part in this. He clearly and with malice stepped under Kawhi well before Leonard landed on Zaza’s size 20's.

So your solution is hockey fighting? Holy shit this is this a dumb article. Aside from you not understanding the value of defensive players, why doesn’t every player rake for the eyes when a guy goes up for a layup? They would get maybe a flagrant foul, and the guy going for the layup would be blind forever. Great

No one plays defense on the playground so your point is correct because if you play and sort of aggresive defense on the playground you get punched. Organized ball, that play is very common.

You guys are trying really hard on this one.

The hypocrisy of sports guys/teams/fans/coaches is one of my favorite things ever. The only difference between a gritty player and dirty player is whose jersey he is wearing. Grinders become goons then become grinders again if they are traded back. There are very few players who people universally agree are dirty.

I don’t know what to make of this blog, or the argument AB is advancing. All sports, even hockey, have tried to move away from the frontier justice you’re sorta advocating.

Anyone who has rolled an ankle or who has a foot injury from BB.. knows that you will roll it again, have it stepped on. That’s just bball and what happens. No way that was intentional.

I lived through the fights of the 90s. They did NOT make the games better and didn’t teach anyone a lesson.

You must have never played a day of basketball in your life. That play gets made hundreds of times over the course of a season.

“and was part of a plan created by Ocean to ruin his father’s movie career.”

Agreed - His poor skill at being a pundit is still the most relevant news the day his wife died.

The guy is an annoying sports broadcaster, there is no reason to shit on him when his wife was tragically killed. Holy shit, have some compassion as a human being.

So Mauro Ranallo, the announcer, should be bullied as a test to ensure he is tough as nails? Let’s just ignore the fact he is one of the best all around wrestling, boxing and mma announcers and say he need to be tested mentally with bullying. You fucking stupid or drunk?
