On Alibaba, they’re offering an appearance package with this fine upbadging:

My brain could hold useful information but now it just has minutia about a golf cart for elderly Chinese people.

Know what I love, 5 years ago, comments on this site were, Tesla is vaporware, they’ll be bankrupt, they will never deliver a car, Electric cars are not feasible, range anxiety/cash grab, they’ll be bought up by chinese companies, etc.

I like the high seating position because it gives you the best vantage point to spot the tow truck you called.

haha what ?

If you can’t afford to pay cash, you can’t afford that car.

This is really bad advice.

The majority of americans may own SOME stock, but the richest 10% of households own 84% of publicly traded shares. For low income americans who own stock (less than $35k HHI), the median account is less than $10,000. So a 20% runup in the stock market does nothing to repair the damage of even a month or two out of a

The entire stock market is fake money being propped up by quantitative easing that is only really going to the investor class. If all of that money actually started circulating we might even get some inflation. If there’s anything 2020 has done, is drive that point home.

I walked aimlessly for 5 hours with my buddy in Cairo. Yeah we were drunk, but we were aimless. Woke up in a hotel that Americans are disliked by the locals, but they loved us. Our weekend taxi driver, Ishmael (miss ya dude) shit his pants and got us out of there and took us to the Dead City part of Cairo, we weren’t

A relative was offered a chance to get vaccinated because she helps care for old farts, but turned it down because a friend (who already had covid) had a bad reaction to it for a day or two. Apparently she thinks being sore and having flu like symptoms for a couple days is worse than if their lard ass got the disease

Ciao, Chao

Yup. You can buy a lightly used 3 year old mid-size Malibu LT for the same price as brand new Spark LT all day long. I know the Malibu isn’t anything special, but at least it’ll cruise comfortably on the highway and has a decent sized trunk.

Neither. Buy a CPO Corolla.

I had a Spark or Sonic or Aveo (I’m not sure which, I can’t tell them apart) rental car back in 2015. It was the worst car I’ve ever driven. Struggled to maintain speed up mountains. I don’t think I could get it over about 74mph on the interstate. Complete garbage. I don’t expect the Mirage is any better.

I never understood why anyone even bought those. All the fun of an Altima with less practicality.

I am laughing at people suggesting a hatchback like a Fiesta or the Yaris as an impractical car.

86-87' I daily drove a 79' Fiat X-1/9 to commute to college and work. Great on fuel economy, parking in Newark NJ and dicing through traffic. Snows on the car and two 5gal pails of sand in the frunk and the car was decent in snow too unless it was deeper than 4" which was about how much ground clearance I had... Not a

Not me, but a cow-orker at my last company used to daily his Model T.  In pre-COVID times, Bay Area traffic was bad enough that he kept up with traffic no problem.
