I’m far too old to have had any opinion of Ariana Grande before this, but she has impressed me enormously. She was poised, emotional, engaged and engaging and she did a fabulous job. What a role model. Really well done. Somewhere Over the Rainbow was outstanding.

I’m old and didn’t know most of the songs, but Ariana impressed the hell out of me for being so present and engaged throughout the entire show. I could see how much it meant to the people in the audience. Lovely, all around. (And I got a kick out of her and Miley singing the sublime “Don’t Dream It’s Over”.)
