I truly believe this was a shallow way to promote the inclusive friendliness of the Skylander franchise. That's why this seems a bit off to me.

Nope. Sorry, but if you're a super-fan of consoles, this is just a piece of the shit-pie that comes with the package. Sure, on PC I could have less reliability of drivers working on day one, a la Watch Dogs. But when you fully entrust the potatoes for your gaming experiences, then you reap what you sow.
