Yeah its obviously not possible without shorter seasons and/or more compact schedules but it would be great if the CL were the best teams continuing their seasons. Instead it is LAST years best teams which in some cases will be made up of totally different players and coaches which makes it not really the same.

The whole thing including the earliest/first rounds should be after most of the season. Obviously that would be very difficult if not impossible based on how long it takes and the leagues and countries own schedules. But ideally the seasons would end and the top teams would continue with their seasons in CL.
