You can probably figure out what pro athletes make for signing their autographs and just allow something in that general range. That seems like it would not be that tough to figure out.

The schools should not pay them. Way too complicated when you realize you would have to pay all student athletes in all sports, men and women, at all schools big and small, rich and poor. Any way to divide up who is “worth” more or should be paid more would ultimately be unfair and a huge pain in the ass to figure out.
