This. I have a cousin who is just that. Most of her patients do not survive their cancer. It’s got to be a brutal job. She makes a metric fuck ton of money, but damn if I don’t think it’s worth the regret that I’d feel for every, single patient that I lost.
I have a cousin that is a Radiation Oncologist. I have asked her how she does it. She says that she’s not sure...she just does. She says she’s never cried or anything. I just don’t know how you can do a job, where most of your patients will not survive. Hats off to you.
