I don’t understand why medallions weren’t issued based on bid-service kind of arrangement. The livery commission or whoever has regulations for taxis, but they either are 1. too lax, or 2. not rigidly enforced, since shitty taxi service seems to be par for the course.

That makes some sense. What I don’t understand is how a regular cab driver could be stuck with a business debt they can’t discharge.

Agreed. I have no interest in an SUV, but the 4 Runner is superb.

To be sure, I’d drive a Roadmaster. There’s a hilariously well-kept one in my neighborhood that kind of makes me happy when I see it. The new Regal wagon is actually a good looking car. But unavailable until late this year.

His second chin is really pulling double duty for first. (he has no chin)

I was thinking something similar:

A minivan would work, but we’re going with a new car, owing to an shitty CPO experience with Subaru. Minivans are more expensive, less reliable, and we don’t really need 3 rows. She does need to be able to move more stuff than would fit in a sedan, though.

I love the 288/308/328 so much. I’d even settle for a 208.

I know everyone trashes these, but honestly, if you want a car that can move more stuff, with a kid, and be reliable and affordable, there just aren’t that many non CUV options. My wife’s getting a new one of these for $19,100 this weekend and it comes with all the safety features. It’s ugly as all hell, but she

But you can’t get one with a little fridge, like Patrick’s Flex.

“I’m not a liar, I’m just terrible at my job.”

Yeah, the metro is essential and it’s fundamentally antisocial to skip the fare. If you’re low income, there are ways to get subsidized transportation. Otherwise, you’re just selfish and screwing over other riders.

Of course not, but if a cop sees me break the law, tells me to stop, and I tell him to fuck off and run away, some force is to be expected.

Guns are not weapons, they’re tools. Like butcher knife, or a harpoon. Or an alligator.

Historically, the dumb one-off designs by Pininfarina or Bertone or whoever are almost never an improvement, in my eyes. For any marque.
