Well for a start, I’m not going to believe that any of these guys understand what they did wrong and will therefore work to become better/atone until I see proof.
We live in a disposable society, why should this be any different?
Why are you just asking feminists? And I find it odd that you consider yourself a feminist but you are unequally turning this question towards them.
Is it just me? Cause...I don’t see any hair. Lol. I must be missing something.
Actually, all aesthetics aside, she’s mistaken. The hair actually grows there for the purpose of hygiene, to guard the interior against bacteria. https://www.cosmopolitan.com/uk/body/health/news/a44439/shaving-pubic-hair-hygienic/
Holy crap. “Whatever you’re feeling, take it to the altar - because I’m not the one responsible for your feelings.” Oh that is gold!
I didn’t know having a dying/dead beloved father gave me a license to be a hypocritical blowhard.
He really wants to go through discovery and depositions, then, huh?
November 2016?
I am not surprised by your experiences in Asia, but I think that Issa Rae was really speaking about Asian Americans. She writes, “Asian men, your women are ditching you...” it really seems like she is talking about Asian American men, who are less likely to be like the men you describe.
I don’t understand this new wave of “My Fave Can’t Be Wrong”. You can like Issa Rae and think that she wrote a bunch of classist, racist bullshit and sold it as a joke. It’s not mutually exclusive. We don’t tolerate “Issa joke” when we don’t like the comic. We shit on Amy Schumer for her racist jokes. How about we…
I think the Filipino comment definitely is the part that’s really problematic here (I am Filipino). It kinda touches on a really sensitive subject about Filipinos in comparison to other Asians.
I can see the line about Filipinos being problematic. Other than that, I see nothing wrong with this passage.
“Watching a wife and mother be humiliated on national television for her looks is deplorable ... All women have a duty to unite when these attacks happen and the WHCA owes Sarah an apology.”
There is a lot of gross implications in what Mika said. It sounds like if a woman does what society expects they will be protected. Frankly, if that is the case it doesn’t apply to all women who are wives and mothers.
So none of these journalists demand an apology from Trump when he says seriously horrible things? Do you call him out he doesn’t have a sense of decency or purpose about his job?
Right? That these delicate dingos automatically see being likened to a Dowd character as about looks is fucking telling.
Michelle Wolf was calling her a liar and a gaslighter. That is all true. She would fit right in at with the other aunties in the Handmaid’s Tale. Frankly, I’m disgusted by all the women rushing to her defense. She is not the one that needs to be defended.
Sanders should be so lucky to have any association with the incomparable Ann Dowd. The similarities between her — a humorless, true believing martinet — and Aunt Lydia, was a sharp and funny take.
