I have a friend I can call to help me get rid of a dead body. She wouldn’t ask questions.

You’re absolutely right. Last spring a woman was stabbed to death while she was walking out of a grocery store. Her 7 year old son was with her and saw the whole thing.

Totally an entire world problem. If we were really first world in regards to women and pregnancy, you’d be on leave now, and out for the next year, minimum, then have guaranteed childcare.

So, about five to six weeks from the last time you smoked to when you’re likely to get drug tested?

I want to thank the Jezzies who recommended the awesome MetaFilter thread about Emotional Labor. The Emotional Labor that is expected of women by partners, men, co-workers, friends, family. Often the labor is invisible and goes unrecognized. I am no longer married, but it’s made the rethink: my marriage, past

Happy No Ruz (and to anyone who celebrates a new year during the vernal equinox)!

Telling people just propels you more quickly in a system that’s designed to fail the victim.

I refuse to believe that Aaron Carter didn’t ALREADY receive death threats before this whole Trump thing. I’m not saying it’s right, I’m just saying he seems like the kind of idiot who regularly annoys other idiots.

My least favorite part about this election season might be that this fucker has managed to con everyone into thinking he is a moderate. Trump and Cruz deserve fiery deaths for that alone.

Seriously thinking of quitting academia after this week. Ten years in higher ed and I can’t find a tenure-track job in my field, even with a stack of publications, a book contract with a quality press, and a five-figure grant. This week was supposed to be my spring break and I spent the entire “break” interviewing for

He’s Steph when Andi rejected him. Lashing out b/c he can’t have her. (And I really hope people get this reference.)

I mean, they have to be pretty thoroughly submissive and adoring, right? He is so thin-skinned about female rejection - it enrages him. I imagine he has “taught” women in his life lessons after they’ve dared defy or challenge him.

That headline is kind of gross. They’re not involved, and they’re not the only reason this is a story.

This is bullshit. It is outrageous for Bernie to suggest Obama should retract his nominee if he doesn’t pass by November — that’s essentially the Republican argument that the incoming person should decide who goes on the court. And, like them, he only thinks that rule should only apply if it’s his team who wins the

I don’t even have anything funny to say. This is happening because the law does not care about women, their safety or their comfort.

This is happening to a rich, famous, successful woman. It has been happening to her for years and she is still fighting it in court.

The stereotyping of Jones’ character is bothering me too, not only because it’s racist af, but also, even mainly, because the screen lights up when she’s on. She is electric. I think she could’ve handled anything they chose to throw at her, and it’s disappointing that someone so vivid is being used in such a trite

So just like in the original Ghostbusters, the three white people are scientists and the black person is a blue collar worker who admires their intelligence.

I wouldn’t pay for my children attend a university that allowed students to carry guns on campus. No way. The biggest danger with this policy isn’t mass shooter scenarios, it’s bitter break-up, bad grades, horrible roommate, sports rivalry, drunken shenanigans, etc.

I'm stealing that phrase about wine. Love it!
