When I studied out of state at a major flagship Southern state school, I was shocked that 10% of the student body was Black... and this was in the 90s.

I was thinking the same thing as I watched this. Great, powerful moment. But, it just had me saying even in the lyrics I hope your soul is changing and I hope your somewhere praying a woman is still doing the emotional labor.

Thank you. I asked myself is he an attorney, judge or mediator in this? Is he law enforcement? Is he Woody Allen’s manager? Is he woman?

This is amazing. Thank you for posting it because it made me genuinely laugh out loud.

Never mind. Deleted because my computer is all wonky and I missed half of the post.

Have they been disabused of it though?

The whiteness is strong up in this country.

If you’re in an expensive city and a millennial, you’re not the only one living with family. Yes, it’s more common for women to do so and for men to have roommates, but people can get over that shit. Anyone who likes you will get over it and be very pleased that you’re a thoughtful son and financially stable.

Well, I said that about Aziz Ansari because I truly have never liked him and have never gotten why he’s so captivating to people. However, I posted today that I was sad about Fred Savage possibly assaulting a woman during Wonder Years because I adored that show and just loved Kevin Arnold.

You know it’s all starting to make sense now. All these young actresses who were child stars and were falling out of clubs in their 20s, punching people, having quickie marriages and dealing with addiction were dealing with some major PTSD. I can’t believe it never occurred to me earlier.

The german shepherds he kept in his office as some type of disturbing/posturing masculinity and security move tell you everything you need to know about this man.

You’re saying something that is very true for Black Americans. Check out the This American Life story on a late author who grew up in the hood and went to an Ivy League school. She loved the fact that she could put on the thick U.S. accent and be equal there. I have several issues with her “passing” and being so hyped

I wish she had added it also reflects poorly on the interviewer that she would take her time to prepare for this event and include that ridiculous, insulting question.

I loved that show. Loved Fred Savage, but I can totally see this happening. He was a teen star of a show and could’ve believed everyone was there to do his bidding— even a 31-year-old married designer.

You and me both. Like... what?

Great piece.

Nah, he primed her for sexual assault. He was not a simple bystander.

All I want to know is if that’s an entire one-piece boot jumper because me want now.

I see Gabourey as well and one of the Smollett kids, possibly. I don’t see Issa Rae, however. Is she in the front with the cap?

This is so perfect. I love it. Please 2018 be this great all year.
