I wholeheartedly agree with everything you say. This society puts white women on a pedestal and has made them the beauty standard. So, to them being a small and pleasing to men is what they live to be. They’ve internalized all of that misogyny and the 53% of white women who voted for him live day after day hoping to

Really? Maybe that’s the only way a white woman will dance like that, but that’s literally me every time I hear Fleetwood Mac.

That JJ Fad year has got to be a typo since I’m quite sure I was in elementary school and not college when they blew up. I think it should be ‘87 or ‘88.

They are amazing. I’ve seen them three or four times - once when very pregnant and I danced my behind off.

They did a whole movie on that? I remember Gabrielle Carteris had a talk/real-life story show back in the 90s where they profiled the woman who left tuperware dishes of vomit in her closet. The show was geared toward teens and had some of the most memorable stories ever regarding DUIs, teen pregnancy, etc.

A good doctor won’t do tummy tuck surgery at the same time since it takes between six and nine months to get to back to your normal - workouts or not. Plus a tummy tuck scar is insane looking.

Most teens tell their friends everything before they tell their parents.

I’ve seen the same in media research I’ve done of the 1950-70s and it just floors me that women were born, lived lives, created other humans and we’d never know their names. The story I worked on in particular involved a bunch of upper middle class to wealthy white women donating money and time to Black causes. They

Not to mention their whole selling point was that they’d be a clean slate and new perspective because they wouldn’t have all the typical political baggage. You know... they’d use their common sense like the average person. Whatever.

I think they’re older now, 15 years into their relationship and they have the right to control the narrative. Especially as a Black couple. All the stereotypes out there about Black women and men and Black women and men who’ve come as far as they have mean people are hyped to see them falter.

Only you can know what’s right for you, but I just wanted to say congrats. You’re right. I think you just have to leap and hope for the best. No matter what kind of purchase we make in this world -big or small - it’s never perfect.

The world is pretty bleak and always has been for non-whites and non-white Westerners. A lot of folks woke up on November 9 to the plight that many of our neighbors have been facing for ages.

Uh yeah it did. There were still terrible movies being made then.

The sad thing is all these international people are just using him for a story. Not that he may not understand that. But, heiresses will go right back to their lives and trade the little gem about when they slept with a Black ex-con forever.

Did you read that I watched it 20 years ago?

I was going to add that Australia and New Zealand are also isolated.

Bob Graham was a Dem senator and I’m sure that’s why Schumer was there. He’s a solid guy and did the hard work. So, if it was his niece’s party, he had to go. I’m sure he wanted a couple of old buddies there, too.

I don’t disagree with anything you’ve written. As I said, I’ll watch it.

I saw this movie 10 years after it came out because I was nine when it was in theaters. It was terrible. Love Spike and his ability to push the envelope on matters of race and class, but the acting was terrible and the sexually confident female lead was written as so one-note. That’s in addition to everything

I think traveling once you live overseas is much easier and, frankly, a given. My father, step-mom and half-sisters lived most of their lives overseas and it’s just cheaper to hop from North Africa to Europe, vice versa and to Asia and beyond.
