I thought the same thing and, like you knew what she meant when I watched it. Having her note that the White House was built by slaves clearly demonstrates she didn’t forget to mention those of us who are descendants.

I have a friend who thinks Melania’s the whole reason for this mess. He thinks she saw Michelle and thought I can do that.

Well, news is a business and, like all businesses, can make the most money by reaching out to the lowest common denominator with things that are easily understood. ie: Black people are stupid, but scary, Muslims are evil, etc.

This is gross for so many reasons. However, at its core, it’s just more proof that there is a war on women and institutions will never look out for the least among us.

Exactly what I came here to say. My mom always told me it may take years, but eventually a person’s true nature will be seen by all. It’s been 18 years since the impeachment and, frankly, it was just a matter of time before Starr’s truly craven nature was put on full display.

I worked in local news and absolutely hated it because of the emphasis on short, shocking videos. However, the journalists and news directors I worked with and still keep up with today don’t like to get played and have station lawyers that will back them up in a situation involving ethics/ media law.
