Seconded. It was well-paced and competently staged, and these batshit story choices that kept it from actually being good were also strangely compelling in an “oh shit, what the fuck are they going to try to pull off next?” kind of way.
Hot take, I thought Genisys (sp: Genysis?) was a fun dumb movie. I’d never describe it as good, and it’s been a long time since I saw it, but I remember thinking Khaleesi and Arnold had good chemistry
I’m still confused as to why people follow their favorite brands on Instagram in the first place. Really, why are we following “brands” at all? These are the cynical marketing arms of organizations whose sole purpose is to extract as much money from you as possible. They aren’t gonna make you happy, and you certainly…
In the name of NIMBYism (the goal here is clearly to chase off as many of these companies as possible, not any kind of traffic enforcement), they’re missing a hell of a revenue opportunity.
1 -Cargo volume: Sedona is 142 all in, 33.9 in the back. Telluride is 87 ft all in, 21 in the back (according to a google search). That makes a huge difference for us in our van (we notice the space versus our prior Pilot).
Hmm...drivers park their cars illegally all. the. time. Arguably, these illegally parked cars cause more problems than a small, easily moved scooter. They block curb cuts. They block crosswalks. They block lanes. They block sidewalks.
Holy crap, have you contacted FAA with these findings? How long did that impeccable research and fact finding take you?
I agree with you, for the most part. One of my favorite tenets is, “Be mindful of the work you leave for others.” But what am I paying room fees for? At least part of that is for what the hotel pays its staff. There is a difference between not causing extra work for others, and doing work that I’ve already paid…
I am not responsible for the wages/job responsibilities of the people who clean hotel rooms. Therefore, DND is going up for the duration of the stay and I will keep my room relatively tidy and then go home.
the assumption is that if you do not work for tips you make millions.
no fucking way am i tipping hotel staff 10 bucks without them giving me an enthusiastic hand job with eye contact first.
I do all of these things except strip the bed, but I also don’t usually tip. I always figured leaving the room almost as clean as it was when I arrived a decent trade off (I guess this article proves me wrong).
But that’s just a regular old perfectly reasonable 300-500% cost of living raise since the 2016 recommendations! What, did you not get one of those in your line of work?
Not to mention if this becomes so commonplace that staff becomes “tipped” employees, that you bet your ass management is going to reduce them to 4$/hr.
Truth! Over there all they want to do is tip shame.
$10 per day, per person?!?
Lolwut? $10/day/person?! So for a week long trip, a small family (or group of friends) could tip a few hundred dollars?
See, I don’t understand any of this at all. I book a hotel room so I have somewhere to sleep when I’m not doing what I’m in town to do. The job of housekeeping is to refresh the room after I’ve used it. I’m not gonna trash the room, but why should I do their job for them? If I want privacy, I need to feel bad about…
