God yes. DS2 SOTFS’s “gank squads” are ridiculous, especially on NG+. I have been going through it on NG+, and I love the game, but right from the get-go you can easily get in over your head with the groups that come after you. Playing as a caster or erring on the side of caution by pulling mobs with a bow mitigates

I think the big viability problem of Magic in the Dark Souls games, especially early-game, was the rigid limit on number of spells between bonfires in DS1/2. DS3's ability to choose between estus flasks for mana or health went a huge way towards making using magic more feasible. I just never personally messed much

So basically the 90 gigs in this article was just a typo?

The UPDATE is 90 gigs on ps5, where the harddrive is considerably less than 1 tb? And the Xbox updates are less than 20 gigs? Yeah, as a PS5 owner, that most definitely puts me off getting this game. I thought the PS5 had some kind of compression voodoo? The PS5 versions of AC: Valhalla and Subnautica were

I’m very surprised no one seems to have mentioned this company’s track record, which includes the time in 2014 that they ported their mobile version of GTA: San Andreas to Xbox 360/PS3, loaded with terrible bugs and ~15 fps framerate drops, and called it a day. I’m definitely not expecting great things, even though I

I really don’t think 4 is worth playing if you haven’t played 1-3 first since the game is so heavily story-driven, and it’s got a ton of wrapping up of storylines and fanservice. It doesn’t sound to me like anything before 4 is coming out on PC, which doesn’t make much sense to me. It’s a somewhat fun game on its own

I chose to watch it and take everything as literally as possible, and it made everything much more entertaining. The allegory is heavyhanded, so I chose to try and ignore that and enjoy it as a series of increasingly surreal and horrific events. It works decently well as some kind of nightmare, with random people

Something I haven’t seen mentioned here nor in any other review - does this game have any awful forced progression events like in Far Cry 5? I really enjoyed 5 apart from the “kidnappings” in those, where after doing a certain number of sidequests you’d get unavoidably kidnapped and forced into progression events that

Well, it beats American Badass.

Huh. I always had a hell of a lot more trouble following those rapid-fire vaguely-coherently edited Michael-Bay style action scenes (or even ones in Marvel movies) on a screen where I had to look from side to side to even see the entire picture than I did on a screen where I could see the whole thing at once. I

Thanks!! That’s really good news and bodes well for the console versions. I’ll have to get the PS version and try it out.

Do the PS4/PS5/Xbox versions have any kind of auto-aim? Some other old shooter ports like Jedi Knight 2 were nearly unplayable on all platforms besides Switch (which had gyro aiming) cause they had the same precision required as the original PC versions, which were designed for mouse/keyboard and had no aim assist.

Are there any more Cairns added? The cairn in the Ireland dlc singlehandedly got me to quit playing X_X

I am very skeptical about that demographic shift ever occurring, considering a great many liberals are making the choice not to have kids at all thanks to the impending climate apocalypse and practically any conservative starts cranking them out as soon as they can.

I always see these sorts of comments regarding COVID killing conservatives off, but what’s the actual fatality rate even with this delta variant? 4%? And isn’t the vaccination rate amongst people who are most likely to die (65+) actually pretty good, even for conservatives? And how many people are actually dying daily

Don’t Odyssey and Valhalla already have what are technically “GAAS” components with things like the time-gated weekly quests for reward currency

I never said anything about realism. It’s less dramatically interesting. I don’t believe the story was supposed to be pure non-fiction and as such I don’t find it an interesting narrative choice. Others may disagree, that’s fine.

The story’s already got a horrible ending, where instead of just being a story about a bad date that contained some interesting ambiguity it seems like the author went “oh, just to make sure everyone thinks the right thing, I have to insert a ham-fisted scene of the guy flying off the handle and revealing himself as a

AGREED. Worst was DS2 where you could even be invaded when you were hollow. I’d always get invaded by someone at an incredibly inopportune moment when I was just trying to progress through the damn game, and the SOTFS version is already quite frustrating. This was compounded by the annoying mechanic in DS2 where your

She was definitely way above Soulsborne difficulty, but only if you didn’t crank the difficulty down to minimum, like I and most other “wimps” out there who just wanted the trophy! It was still close even then, though.
