This episode was infuriatingly bad, and I’ve mostly enjoyed this season. One bright spot - in that moronic “reenactment” footage, I was reminded of the classic game Porrasturvat (stair dismount). It almost looked as if they’d generated the footage using it.

Hell yeah. Hugh Grant in Paddington 2 was possibly the funniest role I saw all year. It’s probably my favorite role of his, and I’ve always liked him. Q is far, far better than it has any right to be. The characters and dialogue are incredibly engaging. If you have Shudder right now, there’s a Joe Bob Briggs hosted version up. It’s one of his favorite movies, so all his host segments are a blast.

Yep, I was going to post about the high quality of the 90s Gamera movies as well. I think Gamera 3's got the best visuals of any of the Japanese Kaiju movies. Especially that big disastrous civilian damage fight scene with Gyaos, and some of the striking shots of Iris like when he’s revealed above the clouds.

I don’t really understand the “bullet sponges aren’t more challenging” statement - it seems like if something is difficult, having to continue pulling off whatever maneuvers are necessary to avoid dying for longer would, in fact, make you more likely to die, aka more difficult.
